For communication using Wiegand 26bit protocol we need to shorten the UID of mifare (32bit) and desfire (56bit) cards. This of course lowers the security of the whole system as it highers the risk of duplicate cards.
As many control units support communication only over Wiegand 26bit protocol we added the support for it also. To lower the risks, as much as we can, we use the below described conversion method.
It is an example, so example UIDs have been used

Wiegand 26bit and Mifare UID
32bit Mifare UID = 43 13 E0 7C (example UID)

26bit Wiegand conversion:
In hex: 43 (side code) 13 E0 (facility code) 7C (left out)
In dec: 67 (side code) 50 88 (facility code)
Final wiegand number: 675088


Wiegand 26bit and DESfire UID
56bit DESfire UID = 04 4C 0B 79 FF 1C 8C (example UID)

26bit Wiegand conversion:
In hex: 04 (side code) 4C 0B (facility code) 79 FF 1C 8C (left out)
In dec: 04 (side code) 19467 (facility code)
Final wiegand number: 0419467
